Najboljše Športni avtomobil vseh časov .. Triumph TR6 .. 1970′e Hairy prsi britanski roadster

Vem, da svoje težko priznati, ampak britanski izumil športni avto. Ko je ameriška vojska po drugi svetovni vojni začeli voziti zgodnjih športnih avtomobilov, kot so MGTD ljubezensko razmerje začel z britanskih roadsterjev. V 1953 Triumph, ko prvič začeli pošiljanje medenine TR2 v ZDA drugo ljubezensko razmerje začel z Triumph športnih avtomobilov. Formula je bila preprosta. Ground objemala vzmetenje, krasen zvok motorja, malo ali nič udobje bitje in bull psov, kot so žilavost, ki so postale zaščitni znak Triumph. Več in bolje bi Tr sprem kot TR3, TR4 in TR250. Z 1968 TR je potrebno posodobiti in. British Leyland pozval nemškega studia oblikovanja Karmann narediti pohiti restyle za TR250 tako ustvari TR6 za leto modela 1969. TR6 je bilo vse, kar je nesramno brutalno avto šport mora biti. Hitro, okreten, Škripav, utor in neprizanesljiva. S svojo lepo zveneče Odločen 2.5 litrski 6 valjni motor, je na zvoke, ki bi jih uvedli rdečico Ferrari.

Karmann restyle je bil svež in on-človek, kot. Notranjost je bila tipična angleščini s pridihom lesa in vsemi merilniki. TR6 sedel nizko slung na njegov neodvisnega zadnjega vzmetenja in njen 4 stopenjski menjalnik preusmerila z odmevnimi mislil. Kot vozilo tolaži izboljšala v letu 1970′s TR6 ki ni izgovorov za svoje utor vrhu in buckboard vožnja. Kot avtomobilom in voznikom Magazine dejal, v 1976 preskusu na cesti “To je zadnja od kosmat prsi britanskih roadsterjev“Triumph je več kot 90,000 TR6′je od 1969-1976. To je bila zamenjana z “Oblika stvari, ki prihajajo” Mrak TR7 vrata stop. Ko je proizvodnja TR6 končal se je zadnji svoje vrste. Pravi športni avtomobil v pravem pomenu besede. Neprizanesljiva, topi in vozniki avto. Po lasti rdeča 1969 TR6 lahko rečem, da si ga ljubil ali sovražil. Rudnik je bil nadgrajen z ogljikovimi hidrati Weber, ANSA 4 cev izpušna, Pacesetter glavo, 72 govoril kromirane žice kolesa, roll bar in vzmetenje mods. To je bil moj najljubši vožnja na topel poletni večer in to je najbolj slavno zvoke. Kljub sloves Ahhh ummm Britanski moj TR6 nikoli me pustil na cedilu, v resnici mi je dal 9 let razburljivo službe. TR6 je bila polna veličine in pomanjkljivosti, vendar je nikoli ni odšel iz njenega poslanstva. Krepko poraščeno prsi športni avto. Zadnji svoje vrste in zato je Carlisle Johnny imenovan ga okronali Najboljši športni avto vseh časov.

Britanski Avtomobili Znamka “Zmagoviti” Rezultati v Port Jefferson

 

During the summertime on Mill Creek Road in scenic Port Jefferson they hold a casual classic car show on Wednesday nights. Cars range from Model T’s, Nifty 50′z, Muscle Cars and Exotics. This week we had the special treat of fine English cars. Brought in by The Long Island Triumph Association. The weather was picture perfect. The music and brew from The Port Jeff Brewery was awsome and the display of fine British Cars was amazing.

With the help of our friends from Home Kingdom the Triumph’s found great parking on Mill Creek Road. Red seemed to be the color of choice and the iconic TR6 being the most popular model but a few Spitfire’s graced the parking lot. One stand out was a 1959 MGA displayed by Long Island MG Club member Roy Scharwachter. The stunning MGA featured Minilite racing wheels, Dvojni Weber 45 DCOE Carburetors, header and a rare cross flow cylinder head. All that attended the event had a grand time. Great local food, Port Jeff Brewery beer and music made for an wonderful evening for car nuts and everybody else who joined in. The Long Island Triumph Association is planning another event in Port Jefferson. Being called Brits and Bit Car Show and Swap Meet it is planned for Sunday October 28th from 10am-4pm. Some events include a British car show, swap meet, karaoke and beer tasting by the Port Jeff Brewery. Watch for updated info.

The Answer Is The 1934 Thriumph Gloria

The answer to this What Auto is This?? Kviz je 1934 Triumph Gloria. Triumph Automobile Company, bi šel skozi mnoge spremembe v svoji zgodovini. Od 1885 do 1984 they built many different types of cars.Not known for its sedans like the Triumph Gloria they would build some of the most sought after sports cars of all time. Zaradi močno podporo klubu in skoraj kultni status, kot so športne Triumph avtomobili so bolj priljubljeni kot kdajkoli prej. Uživajte v tem video tega omamljanje Triumph Gloria ..

Današnji "Junk Sem lasti"

1963 Triumph TR4. 

I hate to admit it but I’m a sucker for a hard luck story. Še huje, Jaz sem bedak za lepi obraz. Da je samec celo moje življenje, v mnogih pogledih sem pripravljen stene proti zelo mislil, ljubezni ali vsaj “globoko všeč.”But there she was. You could tell by looking at her that she was abused and alone. She  was about my age.Born in 1963. That would make her 47 or so today. Nice body and what lovely bumpers she has. No sagging. Nice curves and wow what a rear! There was something about her. She had a sparkle in her eye(headlight) and she needed my help. So for the first time in many years I started a new relationship.Who was she? She was a 1963 Triumph TR4. Worth all of the princely sum of $400.00 I paid for her. Solid body and frame. Just what I have been searching for. You see I have a soft spot for rough cars.Anybody with a checkbook and common sense can buy a fully restored car. It takes a real lack of any brain cells to do a project like this. And being as the Mexicans callEL CHEAPOI couldn’t pass up her up. Nothing gives me more pleasure than tearing off some skin on and old rusty bolt. Or the wonderful sound that your lower spine makes when lifting out an engine block or transmission. So with much happiness and fright I went into another restoration project. As usual my plans and life don’t always work out at the same time. The TR4 was sold before I even got a chance to fracture a knuckle..Thinking about that project made me ponder some past not so great projects. Triumphs for all the bad rap they get have always been very good cars for me. All TR6s I have owned have all ran great and proved to reliable with proper care. All these years I have not always had “Creampuffs” So with that in mind we start a new feature in my “On The Road with Johnny B” column  called “What the Hell was I thinking” In no real order.. 

 

..1983 Renault Le-Car. This wonder bomb never made it home.On my trip home I got a flat tire,blew a hole in the heater core melting my new sneakers with scalding water.Almost lost a wheel  and the radio stopped working. Thus inventing a new French word. “Le-Crap-box.

Odgovor na 16. avgust 2011′Kaj je Auto Ta kviz je 1929 Willys Knight Model 70B.Willys Knight bo odprta po svoji 1913 ko je John North Willys kupili Edwards Motor Car Company of Long Island New York .. John Willys bi takoj premakniti svoje na novo kupljene družbe avto Elyria Ohio v 1914 and then to its permanent home in Toledo Ohio in 1915..The Willys Knight was known for itsSleeve Valvetype engine till its demise in model year 1933.Other makers would use sleeve valve engines up till the late 1960s such as Triumph in their TR2,TR3 and Tr4′z. Known for its style and workmanship the Willys Knight name would go to the automotive happy hunting grounds but Willys name would live on till this day in the form of another American icon The Jeep.
