Dit Front Wheel Drive debacle was part of GM’s downsize program of the late 1970′s tot 1980′s.This model werd geproduceerd tussen 1980-1984. Het werd beschouwd als eerste compacte GM's voorwiel aangedreven auto. Its mission was to compete with the VW Quantum, Toyota Camry, Nissan Stanza and Honda Accord. “Missie niet volbracht” door GM.
This model was considered the luxe offering in contrast to its GM siblings. Het luxe consisted of white wall tires, fancy wire wheel covers en”disco ball”velour interior. GM did offer a performance or “X” versie. Het “XX#8221; came with upgraded suspension, shock and low profile tires.
Motor Trend Magazine schepte. “GM has given the imports something to think about” .. I think thats why I stopped reading Motor Trend geezz. Only two engines were offered. Een hengel kloppen 2.5 liter slug and a not horrible 2.8 liter V6. GM could never get this car to work correct. Poor build quality and dozens off recalls doomed this car to the automotive scrap-heap history. So bad in fact the NHTSA filed a law suit against GM. Wat Auto is dit??
