Todays “What Auto is This??” Quiz

This car was produced between 1965-1967. Styled by famous designer Richard Teague. It was touted as Americas first “Mid-size fastback car”. From the start they were loaded with many expensive options as standard equipment. Ads at the time marketed it as a “Personal Luxury” car. Built in Kenosha Wisconsin engines ranged from a 232 cubic inch six cylinder up to a 343 cubic inch “Typhoon” V8 with 290 horsepower. This car was also the first American car to feature four piston front brake calipers on disc brakes. Less than 20,000 were produced from 1965-1967. What Auto is This??

What Auto is This?? A Very Art Deco Pickup..

This very stylish “Art Deco” pickup was produced between 1936-1937. It was a model of a defunct but famous make. It would become its own division as its parent company was seeking a larger market share. The make or division would only be prodcused between 1932-1938. All of the vehicles produced were known for high quality and superb power. Always known as a style leaderthe  most sought after models are the Art Deco pickups produced between 1936-1937.  In 1933 the company bragged that the eight cylinder models had the best “Weight to power ratio” in the world. These classy pickups would never get straight eight power but were powered by a robust 221 cubic inch engine. Known for its smoothness it was durable with seven main bearings and full pressure oil pressure.  By 1938 the parent company puuled the plug when sales of the division out paced it. The division would become a model again and would fall into the automotive trash heap in 1941. These work of art pickups are valued by collectors. At a recent auction a fully restored 1936 Pickup was sold for over $150,000  What Auto is This ?? ”CLICK HERE”

Todays “What Auto is This??” Quiz

Sold by an American company between 1985-2003. Its mostly a re-badged Italian Military vehicle. They were upgraded with fine Italian leather interiors and English wood. Its main rival was the Range Rover. Built on a shortened Iveco 4×4 frame. Power was supplied by either a  5.0ltr or a 5.8ltr Ford V8 engine. Transmissions were also Ford AOD  automatics. Except for a few changes to bumpers and lights they remained almost unchanged till 2003. What Auto is This??
