Hvad Auto er dette?? An All Wheel Drive Bargin Exotic..

Det ville være det første forsøg fra denne ligegyldige automaker at opbygge en eksotiske biler. Produceret mellem 1992-1997 det var stylet af berømte italienske designer Giorgetto Giugiaro. Det usædvanlige glasplade baldakin featured et glas i glasdesign. Denne eksotiske glas blev mest brugt i uber dyre biler som Lamborghini Countach. Det fremhævede en vej gribende alle wheel drive system. Senere biler vil også være tilgængelig i forhjulstræk til lavere priser i et forsøg på at øge salget. Med enten forhjulstræk eller firehjulstræk de kun meget u-eksotiske transmissions der var til rådighed en fire trins automatgearkasse.  

 Den eneste motor var en 3.3 liter boxer eller flad seks cylindret. Det er meget Porsche 911 layout var vandkølet med dobbelt overliggende knastaksler med fire ventiler per cylinder. Normeret til 231 hestekræfter det kunne drive den tunge bil til 0-60 i 7.3 sekund. Tophastigheden var en meget semi super bil som 143MPH.

Fodring alt dette var en for den tid, en meget avanceret elektronisk indsprøjtningssystem og computerstyrede motorstyringssystem. Interiors blev plys med både læder og ruskind. Optioner var få, fordi de kom fuldt lastet. Priserne var høje i forhold til at det er økonomi bil søskende. Kun i alt 14,247 blev solgt i USA. I det sidste år 1997 på amerikanske kyster kun 747 fundet nye ejere. Dens maker tabte aprox $3000.00 på hver solgte en. Hvad Auto er dette??

Hvad Auto Is This? Denne Classic Sedan Havde Aerodynamisk Styling

This European sedan was this first post World War II design by this company. Its designer Gerald Palmer bragged about its aerodynamic shape.  Design features included aerodynamic styling with the headlights faired into the wings and a steeply sloped, buet forrude, der snød vinden. Liget var af stål, incorporating a box-section chassis and was made by Briggs Motor Organer in their Doncaster England factory.  

The suspension used torsion-bars on all wheels (independent at the front) and internal gear-and-pinion steering. The early and late models had mixed Girling hydraulic brakes at the front and mechanical braking at the rear. Later versions were fully hydraulic. The engine was a four cylinder  overhead valve. It was 1486 cc in size with a compression ratio of 7.2:1. It was water-cooled and had an aluminium block and wet cylinder liners. It developed 50 bhp at 4100 rpm (later models had 53 hestekræfter) giving the car a maximum speed of 77 mph  and a 0-50 mph time of  a tire smoking 13.4 sekund.

Two Zenith karburatorer were fitted and later engines had hydraulic tappets. The radiator was behind the engine. A four-speed gearbox with column change was used. Early cars had gearboxes made by the Henry Meadows Company, while the remainder of the cars had gearboxes made by car maker themselvess The decision to make the gearboxes in house proved to be a costly mistake for this long gone automaker. A de-luxe saloon version of this sedan tested by The Motor Magazine i 1953 had a top speed of 82.4 mph and could accelerate from 0-60 mph in 20.9 sekund. An MPG of 29.1 miles per imperial gallon was recorded. The test car cost 1207 British Pounds including taxes in 1953. This sedan was produced between 1947-1953 and sold well with over 23,000 bliver produceret. Hvad Auto Is This?
